The Global Six Sigma & Business Improvement Awards

The winners of The 2009 Global Six Sigma & Business Improvement Awards were announced at The Gala Awards Ceremony & Dinner on Wednesday October 14th 2009, held at The Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Resort, Orlando, Florida.

Winner of the Platinum Award for Organizational Business Improvement, sponsored by PowerSteering is Providence Health & Services.

The joint winners of The Platinum Award for Process Excellence Project, sponsored by Xonitek Corporation were Distributed Learning Directorate, US Army and Miami Children’s Hospital.

Colonel Robert Morris of the US Army won the Business Improvement Deployment Leader of the Year Award, sponsored by Oracle Crystal Ball.

Tom FarrellThe 2009 Winner of the Six Sigma & Business Improvement CEO of the Year Award, sponsored by Minitab is Tom Farrell of Dominion, which was announced in July.

Joint winners Miami Children’s Hospital and PHH Arval won the Best Application of Lean Tools within a Business Excellence Project.

The Best Emerging Business Improvement Deployment was won by Miami Children’s Hospital.

The Global Six Sigma and Business Improvement Awards are judged by a panel of independent business improvement experts and practitioners.

Entries are welcomed from all types of organizations across the globe, both within the private and public sectors, which have implemented business improvement initiatives to deliver real organizational excellence. The 2009 program is now closed for entries.
