The Global Six Sigma Awards 2006
The winners of the 2006 Global Six Sigma Award were announced at The Gala Awards Dinner and Ceremony on Wednesday June 29th at The Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas.
Guest speaker at the dinner was Jill M. Considine Chairman & CEO of The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation who won the Six Sigma CEO of the Year Award, sponsored by premium sponsor, Breakthrough Management Group.
Winner of the Six Sigma Vice President of the Year Award, sponsored by Air Academy Associates is James O Pearson, Vice President of Customer Quality and Six Sigma at EMC Corporation.
The winners of the organizational categories were:

- Best Achievement of Six Sigma in Healthcare sponsored by CIGNA Corporation - New York-Presbyterian Hospital
- Best Achievement of Six Sigma in Manufacturing - Lonmin plc
- Best Achievement of Six Sigma in Service & Transactional Environments - Capital One Direct Banking
- The winner of the Platinum Award for Most Outstanding Organizational Achievement Through Six Sigma is New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
